Vessels & Equipment
Hallstrom Holdings Ltd owns most of the ships and equipment required to carry out all salvaging activities - from the search and identification phases to the actual recovery of hidden treasure lost far below the surface of the sea.

The Ships

The 'Scorpio'
Hallstrom Holdings' primary vessel for the search, identification and excavation of deep-water shipwrecks. Built as an Arctic trawler in 1949, the 'Scorpio' operates well in exteme weather conditions. Measuring 148 feet long, she is a Single Screw with variale pitch, bow and stern thruster. After she was purchased by the company in 1994, the vessel was outfitted with state of the art salvaging equipment, ready to sail in June 1995. Her first assignment was to locate the wreck of the 'RMS Douro' in European waters, and her work has led her to the coasts of Somalia, Mauritius, Madagascar and South Africa.

The 'Benjamin'
The 'Benjamin' was built as a Survey Ship in Norway in 1983. She was formerly installed with the Scorpio ROV that was to be transferred onboard the 'Scorpio'. Joystick controlled. Built in HPR 309, 80 feet. Twin Screw variable Pitch, Bow and Stern Thruster.

The 'Talvas'
The 'Talvas' - a 50 feet motor yacht - was built in Taiwan in 1983. Displacement 23 tons. Twin screw. Presently in Indonesia, she is ideal for South East Asia during transit periods (in between monsoons) in the South China Sea. During monsoon seasons she works in Indonesian Islands and Malacca Straits.
